IGF-1 DES
Also known as DES(1-3) IGF-1
Truncated IGF-1 analog
A truncated IGF-1 variant studied for high local potency and a very short systemic half-life.
How it works
Missing the first three amino acids, it binds IGF binding proteins weakly, leaving far more free peptide to act on local IGF-1 receptors before rapid clearance.
What research has shown
In vitro work reports roughly 10 fold greater potency than native IGF-1 in binding-protein rich environments, with a half-life of about 20 to 30 minutes.
Reported ranges in the literature
Low end
20 mcg per site
Optimal
50 to 100 mcg per site
High end
150 mcg per session in research reports
Frequency reported in the literature: Peri-workout in reported protocols
Protocol duration and pairing
Typical study duration
2 to 4 weeks in localized models.
