How it works
Lowering pH increases solubility for hydrophobic or aggregation-prone sequences by keeping basic residues protonated and preventing peptide-to-peptide association.

Peptide chemistry references list dilute acetic acid, typically 0.1 to 1%, as the standard first-line solvent for poorly soluble sequences.
